Sound the trumpets! I'm very happy to announce that we have completed the construction projects that we started in January. The beautifully re-done Chaparral rooms as well as our conversation fire pit and fountain are ready to welcome you and enhance your stay at the resort. I've always felt that when you visit the resort, it is very important to have areas that are conducive to striking up conversations and encouraging new friendships with other naturists. Thus, the new fire pit area. During the day, I've noticed many a guest enjoying their favorite book by the new fountain enjoying the sounds of rippling water. The fire pit is fast becoming the most popular spot for the guests and homeowners to gather at dusk and enjoy each other's company while being served up tasty concoctions from the Oasis Bar.
In March, many of you joined us for our first "Wine Tasting Event." Many thanks to Don Goldman, our featured speaker, who added a great touch of class to the event with his entertaining facts and trivia on several delicious wines, their history and the art of enjoying them.
Fun times for Film Buffs! In March, on a trip to the Hotel Expo in Las Vegas, we purchased a fantastic outdoor movie screen and introduced our first "Movie Night" at the resort. After dinner in the Oasis Cafe, guests joined us on the south lawn by the Spa and relaxed into our lounge chairs to enjoy the first in a series of "James Bond" films. The evening was a bit cooler so everyone had comforters to curl up with. Robin and Yoly, from the cafe, warmed things up even more by serving Irish coffees. Watching a good film with good friends and the smell of popcorn. All this under the stars AND "Au Naturel." Sweet! Gives the expression "Film Buffs" a fresh new twist! Watch for COMING ATTRACTIONS!
It's been terrific seeing so may familiar faces return to the resort. I am also thrilled to say that I've had the pleasure of welcoming a noticeable amount of first time visitors and Naturist Newbies. If you are a new visitor, we welcome you to experience everything this beautiful resort has to offer. Three swimming pools, two Jacuzzis, a gift shop, restaurant, full bar, gym, FREE Wireless Internet, and we do not want to forget our "world class" spa.
Spring has sprung! It's time to clear out the clutter and take a little time to renew your spirit. All of us on The Desert Sun Resort Team are here to help you experience Naturism in its finest atmosphere. I'll see you all poolside!
